Kind words from guests at Mill Hay House

“Excellent Weekend Retreat. Everything about the Mill Hay was excellent, from the accommodation, the hospitality, the breakfast, to the dogs. We were made to feel very welcome with nothing too much trouble. If you plan to stay in Broadway we strongly recommend you try Mill Hay first – We have stayed in Broadway many times, but can say this was one of the best visits – Don’t forget to visit the Tower!!”

“Cannot be bettered”

The accommodation and location cannot be bettered. From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure we enjoyed our stay. The warm welcome and offer of tea in the garden set the character of our stay. I do not hesitate to recommend the hotel.

“Lovely old manor house”

Although Mill Hay offers ‘just’ bed and breakfast it does so superbly. One has the run of several lounges of great character, including fireplaces and a beautiful garden. There are courtesy drinks. The bedroom was very comfortable. There was a bath with hand shower only, so I was a bit concerned about spraying the rather fine curtains, but everything was in superb taste. My wife and I adored the character of the place. Breakfast was superb.

“Fantastic B&B”

What a beautiful house and grounds, nothing too much trouble, delicious breakfast, plenty of parking, short walk into broadway but nice to be away from the hustle and bustle, and be able to sit out in peace after dinner. We will definitely be back!

“Gracious country retreat”

This was my 3rd time to Broadway. Last time I identified this was the place I wanted to stay on my return. It is next to St Eadburgha’s Church which is one of my favorite peaceful places. Mill Hay Country House is vibrating with history, and is decorated with art and antiques to fill out the ambiance. The grounds are beautifully tended, and at night you can hear 2 streams in the distance, and the sheep baaing.

“Wow! What a find!”

Stunningly beautiful home and grounds. A little off the beaten path so it’s a short drive to nearby villages for a meal or a pint. Styled in the Garden room which was enormous, elegantly appointed with a large bathroom. Great view of the backyard. Breakfast was fantastic and made to order. The first night we were the only guests and still found a beautiful lady waiting to prepare breakfast with a full display of fruits, etc. stay here if it’s in your budget and you enjoy some peace and quiet.

“A true Cotswold experience”

The owners of the Mill Hay House combine hospitality and charm in a property that is beyond compare. The house is a half-mile from the centre of Broadway on a quiet country lane that includes thatched-roof houses, ancient churches, stone walls, meadows and grazing fields. The house welcomes you from the moment you enter with it’s drawing rooms and parlours, beautifully appointed with antiques and artwork. Our room overlooked an enchanting English garden with manicured boxwoods, roses and the Cotswold hills beyond, the birdsong and scent of roses wafting in through the open leaded glass windows.

“Superb”

My partner and I, together with two friends have just spent the weekend at Mill Hay, to celebrate a birthday. It was perfect in every way. The rooms were so comfortable, the breakfast choice was imaginative, plentiful and delicious and the house itself stunning. I can’t speak highly enough of it. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble and we were treated like friends. We shall definitely stay there again.
